GURSAN cone crusher successfully commissioned in the Dominican Republic

A New GURSAN cone crusher with the latest European crushing technology was successfully commissioned at a Basalt quarry in the Dominican Republic. Canteras del Trópico, Sand & Gravel Quarry in the Peravia Province, commissions the GURSAN Model K-950/160kw cone crusher to produce manufactured sand for concrete and asphalt products. Problem: Recuperate revenue from excess stockpiles of crushed Basalt -5/16″ (8mm) & -3/4″ (20mm) stone while producing quality manufactured sand. Solution: The Gursan K-950 High-Speed cone was configured to operate @960 rpm and fine profile manganese liners were installed to crush the stone to -3/16″ (4.6mm) or -1/4″ (6. mm) as required. To ensure optimum performance, a surge bin and variable speed control were implemented to ensure a controlled feed rate and maximize production.
